Coinspaid at UN:BLOCK Europe 2026: Bringing blockchain rails closer to everyday payments
Coinspaid joined UN:BLOCK Europe 2026 in Riga on April 1-2, a key meeting point for fintech and blockchain players across the Baltics and Nordics.
The region continues to move fast: regulation is taking shape, adoption is growing, and more traditional financial institutions are entering the space.
UN:BLOCK once again brought all of them into one room, from banks and fintechs to blockchain companies, legal experts, regulators – Coinspaid was part of that conversation, bringing over 10 years of experience in blockchain-related technologies.
Building infrastructure for global payments
Our team was on the ground in Riga, engaging with participants throughout the event. Misha Kaplin, Head of Business Development, delivered a keynote focused on how blockchain-based payments are evolving from infrastructure into real-world financial tools.
In his keynote, Misha Kaplin focused on a shift the industry can no longer ignore. Stablecoins continue to gain traction in areas like cross-border payments and B2B transactions, while regulatory frameworks across Europe are becoming clearer. As a result, discussions are focusing more on how blockchain-based solutions can function consistently and at a larger scale within the financial system.
Using a simple analogy, he compared blockchain rails to electricity. He explained how something invisible can still power entire systems. The same is occurring with blockchain-based payments, especially with the growth of stablecoins.
This gap highlights the need for infrastructure.
Stablecoins have already reached a huge scale, with hundreds of millions of users and trillions in transaction volume. The main challenge now is making them usable in everyday business. At Coinspaid, we work on creating the infrastructure that lets businesses easily accept and operate with digital assets in the real economy.
Looking to the future
UN:BLOCK Europe 2026 showed how the discussion around blockchain-based payments is continuing to change. There is a stronger focus on practical use, clear regulations, and scalable infrastructure.
The event gave us a great opportunity to connect with partners, clients, and new players across the region, and we’re excited to keep these conversations going beyond the conference.
See you at the next one!
