Supported by Coinspaid, Dudu Barrichello secures Le Mans podium in a Landmark Endurance Racing Weekend
Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello has added another milestone to his rapidly growing motorsport career, finishing on the podium at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans and earning one of the event’s most prestigious fan-voted honors.
Competing in the LMGT3 category for The Heart of Racing Team, Barrichello, alongside teammates Gray Newell and Jonny Adam, guided the No. 23 Aston Martin Vantage to an impressive third-place finish after 24 hours of relentless competition at Circuit de la Sarthe.
What makes the achievement even more remarkable is that Dudu was behind the wheel when the checkered flag fell, bringing the car home after one of the most demanding races in world motorsport.
A dream realized at motorsport’s greatest endurance race
The 24 Hours of Le Mans is widely regarded as one of the most iconic and challenging races in the world. Success requires not only speed but also flawless teamwork, consistency, strategy, and endurance.
Last year, during an interview, Dudu spoke about Le Mans as a dream destination in his racing journey. Twelve months later, he has gone beyond that dream by standing on the podium at the most famous endurance race on the planet.
His performance is another example of the determination, discipline, and continuous improvement that have defined his rise through the ranks of international motorsport.
Team effort: Three drivers, one mission
Unlike most racing formats, endurance racing is a true team sport. At Le Mans, three drivers share a single car, rotating through multiple stints over a full day and night of racing.
For the No. 23 Heart of Racing entry, that responsibility was shared between:
- Eduardo “Dudu” Barrichello
- Gray Newell
- Jonny Adam
Together, the trio delivered a composed and competitive performance throughout the race, climbing from eighth on the grid to secure a podium finish in third place for Aston Martin and The Heart of Racing Team
Winning the fans’ vote
As if a Le Mans podium were not enough, Barrichello also received the Wingfoot Award, a fan-voted honor recognizing the driver who best embodies the spirit of endurance racing through consistency, pace, and performance
Consistency across Endurance Racing’s biggest stages
The Le Mans podium caps off an extraordinary run in the world’s premier endurance races.
So far this season, Dudu has stood on the podium at all three of endurance racing’s most celebrated long-distance events:
- IMSA 24 Hours of Daytona – 3rd Place
- IMSA 12 Hours of Sebring – 2nd Place
- WEC 24 Hours of Le Mans – 3rd Place
Reaching the podium at Daytona, Sebring, and Le Mans in the same campaign is a remarkable demonstration of consistency and adaptability across three very different circuits and racing environments.
Family support every step of the way
The achievement was also a special moment for the Barrichello family.
Dudu’s father, Formula One legend Rubens Barrichello, was present throughout the entire race weekend, supporting the team from the garage. According to the team, Rubens stayed with the crew for the full duration of the race, without sleeping, sharing every challenge, setback, and triumph alongside them.
It was a fitting reminder that behind every great racing story is an equally powerful story of support, dedication, and belief.
